Absorbing the outdoors through printmaking

Roanna is a printmaker based in the North East of Scotland. Working from her home studio in the garden, she uses traditional drawing and painting materials along with her wooden A3 printing press. Roanna creates illustrations, block prints and handprinted lampshades.

“My style is very simplistic using shape, pattern and colour as my main elements bringing the image together - simplifying the usual detail from Scottish landscape and countryside. I enjoy being outdoors with my kids, exploring the coastline and hills of the North East, fuelling my printmaking inspirations.”

We have a selection of prints hanging in The Bothy, bringing colour and warmth to our space - an apt home for them.
